Winter Wolves of Yellowstone National Park

Every winter, between Christmas and New Years, we head into Yellowstone to track wolves, photograph grandeur beauty, and witness stunning geysers in winter's air.

The Wolf Trip was a massive SUCCESS!

Our Winter Wolves of Yellowstone trip was a huge success!  Not just because we saw wolves in the wild, not just because we had perfect weather, not just because the accommodations were superb, or that we saw the Aurora Borealis as we toasted the New Year with champagne...it was a massive success because everyone had the time of their life!!!  As Jean said, "I not only learned a lot about wolves, and Yellowstone...but I learned a lot about myself as well."

Yellowstone will do that to you...the raw wilderness has a way of penetrating your soul.  It's a lens with which to see yourself, too.  You probably wouldn't survive out here in the dead of winter.  The average person wouldn't.  Andy, our hired park guide, said that Winter is actually the top predator in Yellowstone.  And we experienced it...with all of our layers and tech fibers, we endured -30F...it was brutal, especially if you wear glasses...every exhale fogged your glasses which then immediately froze.  Without our support vehicle and warm meal waiting for our return, we ourselves would likely not survive these wolf and elk temperatures.  Even the bison take refuge in the thermal springs.

Winter in Yellowstone is both exceptionally beautiful and brutally honest. Everyone on our trip thoroughly enjoyed themselves, however we all took moments to reflect on our lives, the year past, the new year, and using the template of the wilderness we began contemplating the path of the rest of our lives.  If you're into spiritual awakenings, there's nothing better than putting yourself on the temple of nature in front of wolves, bison, eagles and ravens...and together, building your future.

Please join us next year as we embark on this remarkable journey into Wolf Country one more time.

We've had a plethora of interested people attend our information meetings, but a few have asked for an extended deadline for the deposit...so we've responded with an extra 15 days....to April 31.   If you're still toying with the idea of going, now you have a few more days to decide.   This is going to be a trip of a lifetime with Wolf Tracking, snowmobiling, close observation of wolves, grizzly bears and owls, the chance to see the Aurora Borealis, and even dog-sledding!!!

This is a trip on many Bucket Lists!  It's time to do it!

The next Eco-Venture for Winter Wolves of Yellowstone will be December 2015 - January 2016.  This will be a 7 day adventure starting just after Christmas and into the New Year.

We will be hiring a wildlife biologist to track down the Wolves and observe them in the wild. Another day we will be exploring the geysers by snowmobile.  There is a Wolf and Bear Conservation Center to visit as well as several local historical sites.

As our itinerary continues to solidify, we will update you here.
